Dear Assumption Families,
Every Christian, and especially you and I, is called to be a bearer of this message of hope that gives serenity and joy: God’s consolation, his tenderness toward all. But if we first experience the joy of being consoled by him, of being loved by him, then we can bring that joy others. This is important if our mission is to be fruitful: to feel God’s consolation and to pass it on to others!
-Pope Francis, Homily, June 29th, 2013
Pope Francis clearly expresses the churches teachings that our purpose is to be a reflection of God’s love to those around us. Pope Francis has often expressed this belief and this particular Homily resonates with me as it ties closely with Assumption’s mission. Assumption’s Student Learning Expectations (LOVE) are modeled after this belief. The O in LOVE stands for Others First. In partnership with our families,
Assumption teaches students to live God’s teachings, and to be a reflection of Jesus to others. I am proud of our community, our teachers who guide our students, our families who support this mission, and our students who consistently meet our expectations. Go Hawks!

Auction It’s time to turn in your auction donation items! In November, you received your Auction Information Packet about donating two items for our Auction. Each family is responsible for donating two items valued at $100 total.
Each item must have a donation form filled out and turned into the office. Forms are available in the office. If you’re having trouble deciding on a donation item, please consider donating $100 that we can use toward purchasing items and auction costs. Cash donations will also need a donation form filled out.
If you have any questions, please email Jill Lempka a auction@assumptioncatholic.org , or call me at 481-0241. Thanks for your contributions toward our fundraiser!
