Dominican Sisters of Kettle Falls, Washington opened Assumption Parish Catholic School in 1959. This order’s charism is based on four pillars: prayer, study, community, and apostolate. In the firstyear our school opened, Assumption educated students in first through fifth grades. Steadily the school expanded its classes to include eight grades by 1962. The kindergarten program was added in 1980 with pre-school following in 1988. The faculty and staff at Assumption see this ministry as a vocation and have continued to uphold the charism of the Dominican Sisters in three manners: to praise, to bless, and to teach.
